Welcome to Advanced Placement Statistics

Course Description

Equivalent to the first year of college mathematics. Successful completion of this course may result in the awarding of college credit. Topics include organizing data, data distribution, measures of central tendency, probability, sampling, normal distribution, central limit theorem, linear regression, and hypothesis testing. A TI-83 calculator or better is necessary for this course.

Most students find the study of Statistics to be very different from any other type of mathematics. It tends to be more tangible and useful. To that end, students will study various concepts through real-life studies and the conduction of experiments.
